Newbuilding 125 Construction Continues at Simek

Painting of the sections for Newbuilding 125, a Platform Supply Vessel of UT 755 LC design which is being build for Atlantic Offshore, is proceeding well at Simek Shipyard. Sea trials, naming ceremony and delivery of the Newbuilding 125 will take place end of April 2013.

So far, the superstructure has been painted and currently block 1 is being painted. After it has been painted completely, block 1 will be placed at the correct position on the slipway. Block 5, the superstructure will be assembled after sea-launching in February 2013 by a floating crane.

The UT 755 LC is a development of the popular UT 755 series vessel, designed specifically for supplying equipment to oil and gas platforms. The vessel will have an extended hull and larger deck space to increase the capacity for transportation of solid and liquid cargo.
