Simek Shipyard Starts C-VIKING's Engines for the First Time

After installing the Cargo crane onboard the Platform Supply Vessel C-VIKIN (NB 126), on June 26th the main engines of the NB 126 were started successfully for the first time at the Simek Shipyard facilities in Flekkefjord.

This vessel of UT 755 LC is a development of the popular UT 755 series, designed specifically for supplying equipment to oil and gas platforms. The vessel will have an extended hull and larger deck space to increase the capacity for transportation of solid and liquid cargo.

Delivery and naming ceremony of NB 126 is scheduled for 12th July 2012. The vessel will start it’s sea trails 3 weeks before delivery.

NB 126 is the 13th vessel of UT 755 design that Simek yard has built so far.
