Norway: Vestnes FMT to Outfit STX’s MRV 05 Vessels

Vestnes FMT has recently received a contract for manufacturing of its new SaM (Simple and Modern) furniture line to STX OSV through the outfitting company RM Ship Interior. The vessels are being built for DOF (District Offshore). The vessels are of design STX MRV 05 and are being built at STX Aukra in Norway.

Vestnes Ocean and Vestnes FMT has developed the new furniture line together with its customers.

Vestnes FMT is a furniture factory located in Frei, outside Kristiansund. Vestnes Ocean is a turn key supplier of accommodation solutions for the maritime industry. The company developed its own concept of ship furniture “Willy” and “SaM”, especially made for the life onboard, together with the designers Ralston & Bau, seamen and company’s own joiners to combine the best of all skills. Vestnes Ocean also manufactures workshop cabinets in steel for the workshop areas on a vessel. Vestnes Norway is the mother company of the group. Vestnes Norway is working after ISO 9001 and are registered in the Achilles database. In addition to Vestnes Ocean and Vestnes FMT mentioned above it consists of Vestnes Land and Vestnes Eiendom.
