Oil Operations & Logistics 2013 Summit to Focus on LNG Topics

IRN announced that Ann Elisabeth Serck-Hanssen, Vice-President, Statoil Shipping and Operations will be part of the esteemed speaking faculty at the 2nd Oil Operations and Logistics Summit that will take place in Oslo on 2nd-3rd October and will present on the key requirements for Statoil to ensure competitiveness and sustainability in their shipping operations, which will address the use of LNG fuels.

In the last decade, LNG has become one of the world’s fastest-growing energy sectors, and this is set to further increase in coming years. LNG presently offers oil and gas companies real growth opportunities as it is a highly efficient fuel for coastal and inland shipping. It also assists shipping operators in abiding by the often strict emissions standards due to LNG’s relative environmental friendliness when compared to more traditional fuels.

LNG has several benefits for oil and gas operators, all of which will be explored in depth at the upcoming 2nd Annual Oil Operations and Logistics Summit in Oslo on the 2nd-3rd of October, where a number of senior experts will discuss how LNG strengthens their operations. IRN is delighted to welcome Ann Elisabeth Serck-Hanssen, Vice-President, Statoil Shipping and Operations to the summit’s esteemed speaking faculty. She will present on the key requirements for Statoil to ensure competitiveness and sustainability in their shipping operations, which will address the use of LNG fuels.
