ONGC, Petronet LNG pen extraction agreement

India’s ONGC informed it has signed an extraction agreement with Petronet LNG.

The execution of this agreement would enable Petronet LNG to commence supply of rich LNG as feed to ONGC’s C2-C3 plant located in Dahej Special Economic Zone for extraction of higher hydrocarbons, Ethane(C2), Propane(C3) and Butane(C4).

ONGC has set up this extraction plant at Dahej SEZ with a capacity to process 5.0 mmtpa rich LNG from Petronet LNG as feed for extraction of C2, C3 and C4 products. These products would be the feedstock for ONGC’s promoted joint venture petrochemical plant, ONGC Petro addition (OPaL), located in the same SEZ.

The extraction plant shall be producing LPG till OPaL is ready to receive the products from the extraction plant.
