OOCL to Launch New Intra-Asia Service

Hong Kong’s Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has revealed plans to introduce a new service to the Intra-Asia network, the KTX8, as part of its existing KTX Suite.

The KTX8 service will provide direct services from Ho Chi Minh and Kaohsiung to Japan.

OOCL said that three vessels will be deployed in the KTX8 service, with the first sailing from Tokyo on December 5th.

” Further to the enhanced connections through the new direct links, KTX8 can also offer customers with the flexibility of a different cut-off time, in addition to the one offered by KTX2, for shipments between Laem Chabang and Japan,” the company said.

KTX8 port rotation will be as follows: Tokyo – Nagoya – Kobe – Shekou – Laem Chabang – Ho Chi Minh – Kaohsiung – Tokyo.
