Operators in GoM Support Deepwater Operations Conference & Exhibition (USA)

Business & Finance

Deepwater Operations Conference & Exhibition, to be held in Galveston, TX at the Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention Center November 1 – 3, 2011, is seeing strong support from the deepwater operators in the Gulf of Mexico.

In July, Chevron joined other major deepwater operators by becoming the gold sponsor of the 9th annual event. In addition to Chevron’s support, Statoil is the host. Other operators supporting Deepwater Operations with sponsorships are Shell, Coffee Break Sponsor, and Murphy Exploration & Production Co., Breakfast Sponsor. This firm operator backing bodes well for attendance as the event approaches.

The 2011 conference program also has a high number of operator presenters. The keynote presentation will kick off the conference portion of the event and will be given by Oivind Reinertsen, SVP – Development & Production Offshore, Statoil. Throughout the next two days, sessions will be led by industry leaders from Anadarko Petroleum Corp., Petrobras, Energy Resource Technology, Chevron, Shell, W&T Offshore, BP, Marathon Oil Company and many more. Products on display on the exhibit floor include, but are not limited to: chemicals, contracting services, drilling, engines, exploration and production, instruments and control, lubricants, pump equipment and services, safety equipment and systems, and well completion.

We are flattered by the number of operating companies showing their support through sponsorship, exhibiting and presenting in the conference program,” said Mark Peters, Vice-President/Group Publisher, Offshore magazine. “If you are in the deepwater production industry, you won’t want to miss the only event specialized for deepwater operations.”

Presented by Offshore magazine and owned and produced by PennWell, Deepwater Operations will continue the tradition of excellence in addressing operational challenges involved in developing deepwater resources. Challenges in deepwater production are complex and command attention to develop solutions that are economical and long-term. Deepwater Operations Conference & Exhibition provides a unique experience for attendees and exhibitors to share, learn and connect. About 900 attendees and over 55 exhibiting companies are expected at this year’s event.
