Oswego Harbor Breakwater Repairs Underway (VIDEO)

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, last week released a video about the ongoing repairs to the Oswego Harbor west breakwater.

In the video, the Buffalo District Project Manager, Lex Barker, reported on the breakwater repairs at Oswego Harbor and the completion date.

According to him, the construction works will be completed sometime next month.

Oswego Harbor generates economic benefits of over $7 million and supports over 100 jobs. Closing the harbor would increase annual emission rates by over 23,000 tons of harmful particulate matter. We appreciate the continued support of our elected officials and partners: Senator Chuck Schumer, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Congressman John Katko, Oswego Port Authority, and the U.S. Coast Guard,” said Lex Barker.
