Ireland: Providence Waves Goodbye to Finance Director

Providence Resources P.l.c., an oil and gas exploration and production company, announces that Mr. Philip O’Quigley has accepted an offer to become Chief Executive of Falcon Oil and Gas Ltd, a Canadian listed oil and gas exploration business.

Accordingly, Mr. O’Quigley is stepping down from his executive position as Finance Director at Providence in order to take up a new position, but he will, however, continue to serve as a non-executive director of Providence.

Commenting on the announcement, Tony O’Reilly, Chief Executive of Providence said: “Philip has been an integral part of the Providence team since 2008 and has been a key player as the company has developed over the past 4 years. Whilst we are obviously very sad that Philip is stepping down from his executive post, we are pleased that he has agreed to stay on as a non-executive director. On behalf of all the members of the board, the staff and indeed the shareholders, I want to thank Philip for all that he has done for Providence and we wish him every success in his new executive position.”
