Panama-Flagged Ship Detained in Singapore

Handy bulk carrier Propel Progress has been arrested in Singapore waters, according to data released by the Supreme Court of Singapore. 

The Panama-flagged ship was detained on June 10, 2017, and brought to Eastern Working Anchorage.

The reason of the vessel’s detention was not disclosed.

Focal Investigation & Security Agency has been appointed for security and investigation purposes related to the arrest of Propel Progress which was constructed at Minami Nippon shipyard in Japan in 1997.

The 30,800 dwt open hatch bulker is owned by China’s Shanghai Vasteast International, information provided by VesselsValue’s indicates.

As of June 13, Propel Progress’ AIS data shows it is still anchored in Singapore area.
