Paragon Offshore rigs get more work in North Sea (Gallery)

Paragon Offshore, a recently established offshore drilling contractor, has secured more work for three of its jack-up drilling rigs.

In its fleet status report the company has said that is C20052 rig has secured a contract extension from February 2015 to mid-February 2015 with Dana in Denmark. The day rate has been reduced from $180.000 to $160.000.

In addition, the rig, formerly known as the Noble Byron Welliver, has also secured a new contract from September 2015 to mid-November 2015, when it will be used by Petrogas in the Netherlands, with a day rate set at $170.000.

Furthermore, Paragon has said that GDF Suez in the Netherlands, has decided to extend the contract for the C463 (ex-Noble Ronald Hoope) jack-up rig, from February to September this year, at a day rate of $130.000. The rig’s previous day rate was $168.000.

As for the third rig, the HZ1 jack-up unit, previously known as the Noble George Sauvageau, will work for Wintershall in the Dutch sector of the North Sea, starting early July 2015, until late August 2016, at a day rate of $142.000. The rig is currently working for GDF Suez in the Netherlands, at a dayrate of $168.000.
