PEMEX Orders Wireline International’s Wireline Conveyance Tools

Wireline International, a US subsidiary of Aberdeen based Wireline Engineering, has secured a contract worth up to $3.1/£1.9million for the supply of its patented Roller Bogie® wireline conveyance tools to Mexican state-owned petroleum company PEMEX.

The wireline and well intervention technology specialist secured the contract for a range of its Roller Bogie® products, designed to enhance the deployment of wireline equipment in deviated wells.

Wireline Engineering Chairman Bill Petrie said: “We have worked hard to develop our position in the thriving Mexican market. This is our third major contract award from Pemex and we are delighted the company is continuing to see the benefit of our specialist technologies.”

Wireline Engineering develops original wireline and well intervention technologies for the oil and gas industry worldwide. As well as Mexico, in 2013 the company secured key contracts in North America, Southeast Asia, West Africa and the Middle East, reflecting Wireline Engineering’s ambitions to continue extending its geographical footprint.

Petrie continued: “Winning such a sizeable order further demonstrates the value of the company and its expertise to the Latin America market, and the opportunities there are for small companies with world-class products.

“Our Roller Bogie® products are recognised market leaders for providing wireline access in deviated wells, but it takes the efforts of our entire team to support our customers around the world and ensure they derive maximum benefit. We are dedicated to increasing our presence in Latin America and awards like this are the best endorsement we could hope for.”
