Perenco Awards SNS Contract to BIS Salamis

BIS Salamis has recorded major growth in the Southern North Sea (SNS), increasing annual turnover in the region by 30% from £23million to £30million per annum.

This increase has further strengthened BIS Salamis’ position as the market leader in fabric maintenance projects in the SNS. In addition to existing multi-million pound contracts with three major oil and gas operators, the company has secured a major new contract with Perenco UK. This portfolio of works further cements the future of BIS Salamis’ Lowestoft and Yarmouth operations, which employs up to 400 people on and offshore.

The Perenco agreement will involve BIS Salamis providing fabric maintenance services for the Leman 27 Bravo’s 2013 integrity improvement work campaign in the SNS.

Perenco UK recently secured an offshore barge to provide additional temporary accommodation in support of the Leman 27 Bravo project. BIS Salamis will deliver a wide range of integrated services, including industrial coating application, passive fire protection, thermal insulation repairs, specialist access solutions and scaffolding.

Mike McKay, BIS Salamis Commercial Director, said: “Our aim is to continue to develop the relationships we have with our clients in the SNS and also to build a long-term, lasting relationship with Perenco UK.

“We are confident that we have the technical skills, resources and capabilities to excel in service delivery on the Leman 27 Bravo campaign, and we look forward to working with Perenco.”

The contract will also lead to new opportunities for existing staff and further positions being created as the company looks to strengthen the logistics, operations and commercial teams to support its continued growth in support of SNS operations.
