Peru dispatches cargoes to Spain and Mexico

Peru’s only liquefaction and export facility at Pampa Melchorita dispatched two cargoes over the past week.

The first vessel, the Teekay’s 140,500 cbm LNG carrier Hispania Spirit loaded its cargo on August 12.

According to the data by the state-owned Perupetro, the vessel is heading for Spain, although the exact destination has not been revealed. On its latest trip to Spain, Hispania Spirit delivered the cargo to Reganosa’s Mugardos LNG terminal at the Ferrol port.

The second cargo has been loaded on Monday, August 15, aboard the 135,072 cbm LNG carrier Gallina and is heading for Mexico. The cargo will probably be unloaded at the Manzanillo LNG terminal.

With the two latest shipments, the 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant has exported 346 cargoes in total, since it started operations in June 2010.
