Peru: Gold Oil Announces Directorship Change

Gold Oil, the AIM-listed oil and gas exploration and production company,  with a primary focus on opportunities in Latin America, announces the following Directorship change.

With immediate effect Mr Julian Antonio Garcia has been appointed to the Board of Gold Oil Plc. Julian, 53, joined the Company in November 2011and has considerable experience in Colombia, most recently as the President of Gran Tierra Energy in Bogota. Prior to that he was General Manager with Emerald Energy Plc in Colombia and Technical Director of the National Hydrocarbons Agency of Colombia (ANH) where he was largely responsible for introducing the current oil and gas licensing legislation. He also has 10 years experience working for BP, both in Colombia and the UK, and Ecopetrol for 4 years. Julian has a diverse range of experience in the oil and gas business with significant achievements in a number of senior managerial positions ranging from general management, joint ventures, commercial, finance, planning and operations, both within Colombia and also internationally.
