Peru ships LNG cargo to Mexico

Peru’s only liquefaction facility last week dispatched another cargo of liquefied natural gas to Mexico.

The 155,000 cbm, 2013-built GasLog Santiago LNG carrier departed from the facility on December 23 and headed for Mexico, the state-owned Perupetro informed.

GasLog’s vessel was built by the South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries.

Perupetro has not confirmed the exact destination of the vessel but it is probably sailing towards the Manzanillo LNG terminal.

Including the latest cargo, Peru’s liquefaction facility at Pampa Melchorita has dispatched 303 cargoes of LNG since it started operations in June 2010.
