Peru’s only liquefaction facility at Pampa Melchorita last week shipped a cargo to Spain and Mexico, each.

The first of two cargos departed on September 13, aboard the 2015-built 155,000-cbm GasLog Salem and set course to Spain. This is the first cargo GasLog’s LNG carrier loaded at the Peruvian facility.

State-owned Perupetro has not revealed the exact destination of the vessel.

The second cargo departed on September 14, aboard Shell’s Gemmata LNG carrier with a capacity of 138,104-cbm, heading for Mexico. Although Perupetro has not confirmed the exact destination, the vessel is probably heading to Mexico’s Manzanillo LNG terminal.

With the two latest shipments, Peru’s 4.4 mtpa liquefaction plant dispatched 353 cargoes in total, since it began operations in June 2010.
