The latest liquefied natural gas cargo to be loaded at the Peruvian LNG export plant at Pampa Melchorita has been dispatched to Spain.

The 173,600-cbm Castillo de Santisteban departed from the country’s only liquefaction facility on February 13, data from the state-owned Perupetro shows.

This is the third cargo the facility loaded in February and the second to head to Spain. The exact destination of the vessel has not been confirmed.

This is the first cargo that the 2010-build LNG carrier has loaded in Peru since February last year.

With the latest cargo, Peru’s LNG export facility shipped 382 vessels in total, since it started operations in June 2010.

The 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant is located 170 kilometers south of Lima and receives gas via a 408-kilometer pipeline built across the Andes.
