According to the data provided by the state-owned Perupetro, five vessels departed the facility, with volumes totaling 822,014 cubic meters of the chilled fuel.

This represents a 38.2 percent increase when compared to four vessels exported in August 2018, with a total volume of 594,665 cubic meters of the chilled fuel.

However, this is a 8.6 percent drop when compared to the previous month when six cargoes were exported, totaling 899,136 cubic meters of LNG.

Out of the five cargoes, three landed in Spain, and one in South Korea and Japan each.

With the five cargoes dispatched during the past month, the facility’s total rose to 537 since it started operations in June 2010.

The 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant is located 170 kilometers south of Lima and receives gas via a 408-kilometer pipeline built across the Andes.
