Petrobras Extends 'Skandi Vitória' Pipe Layer

Brazilian state-run oil company Petrobras has extended the contract for Skandi Vitória with two years from September 2013.

“The extension of the charter contract is done  in line with the current market,” DOF Subsea said in a press release.

The vessel is owned through a joint venture formed by DOF Subsea, a subsidiary of DOF ASA together with Technip.

Skandi Vitória is the first pipe-lay vessel built in Brazil, equipped with vertical and horizontal pipe-lay systems, a 250 mt crane and 2 ROVs. The vessel is capable of operating in water depths up to 3,000 meters.
