While disclosing that a one-year extension option has been declared for the MPSV Skandi Darwin, DOF emphasizes that this will enable the vessel to continue working for an undisclosed current client in Australia until Q3 2027.

No further information about the value of this extension has been provided. The 2012-built MPSV previously won a contract to support Shell’s Prelude FLNG facility in July 2016.

The five-year deal, which came with two two-year options, started in November 2017. The Prelude FLNG is located 475 kilometers north-northeast of Broome in Western Australia.

The new contract extension comes months after DOF landed a new assignment with Shell in North America to handle project management, engineering, intervention vessel, and all relevant surface and subsea services for the delivery of chemical fluid into subsea wells.
