Petronet’s Dahej LNG terminal gets cargo

India’s largest LNG terminal located at Dahej in Gujarat received a cargo of the chilled gas from Qatar.

The liquefied natural gas cargo was delivered onboard the 138,700 cbm Raahi, which departed from Dahej on Friday and is currently on its way to the Ras Laffan port in Qatar, shipping data reveals.

Petronet LNG is currently working on expanding the Dahej LNG terminal’s capacity from 10 to 15 mtpa.

Works on the terminal that has operated at around 120 percent of its nameplate capacity in the past three months are expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

The company has also initiated the process for selection of EPC contractors for further expansion of the Dahej terminal to 17.5 mtpa.
