PGNiG analyzing bids for spot LNG deliveries in June

Polish Gas and Oil Company (PGNiG) on Tuesday said it has closed the first part of its tender seeking five LNG cargoes for June-July delivery.

The company noted in its statement that the first phase of bidding for LNG cargo deliveries to the Swinoujscie terminal in June has been completed on May 13. The company is currently analyzing the received bids.

Bids for the second part of the tender, for cargoes to be delivered in July, can be submitted until June 17, the company said.

PGNiG issued the tender at the beginningĀ of May, saying the spot cargoes will be delivered to the terminal irrespective of the 1 mtpa of LNG long-term contract PGNiG signed with Qatargas.

Deliveries to the Swinoujscie LNG terminal under the long-term deal with Qatargas are scheduled to start by mid-July PGNiG said.
