PGNiG: Gazprom delivering full gas supplies to Poland

PGNiG confirmed on Friday that gas supplies from Russia’s Gazprom to Poland would be delivered in volumes requested.

The company received a confirmation that natural gas supplies from its eastern supplier would be consistent with the orders placed, it said in a statement.

The average daily demand for gas in recent days has reached approx. 47 million cubic metres. At present, the amount of gas held in underground storage is ca. 1.3 billion cubic metres. The gas network is operating without any disruptions, according to PGNiG.

In the period from early September 2014 to March 5th 2015, gas supplies from Gazprom were inconsistent with orders placed by PGNiG, with daily volumes from 6% to 46% below the nomination, the company said. The shortfalls were offset by higher imports from countries west and south of Poland, domestic production and gas retrieved from underground storage facilities.
