The 14,750 square kilometer PSDM re-processing endeavor will deliver a single data volume over several highly prospective blocks in the Cypriot exclusive economic zone (EEZ) on a common grid, PGS said.

Enhanced processing flows are expected to add value to four input surveys that were acquired between 2013 and 2017.

“Cyprus has attracted strong industry interest in its context in the wider Eastern Mediterranean region. Multiple commercial gas discoveries have been made in recent years, most notably Zohr, Calypso, and Glaucus, and there is also the possibility of pre-salt Miocene sand-hosted reservoirs,” said Joshua May, PGS Business Development Manager Africa, Mediterranean and Middle East.

Final PSDM re-processed deliverables from Cyprus Vision Phase One are planned to be ready in the second quarter of the year.

This will be immediately followed by the commencement of the Cyprus Vision Phase Two.
