PHOTO: Cemre Delivers Ocean Dolphin


Cemre shipyard in Turkey has recently delivered its latest project, a seismic support vessel ‘Ocean Dolphin’, following its sea trials.

The vessel, developed in cooperation by Salt and Vestland Offshore, has entered directly into a 5-year Time Charter for Dolphin Geophysical AS.

Ocean Dolphin is the first of two seismic support vessels ordered by Norfield back in December 2013 as turnkey, and will be operated by Vestland Offshore.

The Bureau Veritas-classed SSV has a length of 69,8 meters a width of 17 meters and it can accommodate up to 60 persons.

The SSV is of SALT design – project 0046, has a HFO/MDO cargo capacity of 2,000m3, working deck area of 500m2, and a bollard pull of 55 tonnes.

The vessel is powered by a 4 x Yanmar 6EY22LW 1080 kW @ 720 rpm diesel electric main generators and it is the 38th vessel that Cemre has delivered.
