Picture of the day: Wheatstone LNG bird view

Chevron and its partners in the Australian Wheatstone LNG project have formally kicked off work on the export project in December of 2011.

Since then, work on the LNG project has substantially progressed with the onshore and offshore part almost 50 percent complete.

The Wheatstone project includes two LNG trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 mtpa plus a 200 terajoule per day domestic gas plant, located 12 kilometres west of Onslow on the Pilbara coast of Western Australia.

Offshore facilities for the liquefaction project include Australia’s largest offshore gas processing platform, with a 225 kilometre trunkline connecting it to the onshore plant.
