PM Sharif urges timely completion of Pakistan’s LNG power projects

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif  chaired a meeting on LNG issues recently.

He was briefed about the status of LNG import and related power projects in Pakistan, a statement by the PM’s cabinet revealed.

Sharif was also told that by 2017, LNG will be used to add further 3,600 mega watts of electricity to the national grid.

Prime Minister stressed the importance of timely completion of LNG power projects, and Ministry of Petroleum and Ministry of Water and Power shall work in close coordination to complete the projects.
