REN’s Sines LNG import terminal on Portugal’s Atlantic coast is scheduled to receive a cargo from Algeria during the weekend.

The 75,000-cbm Cheikh El Mokrani will deliver the cargo from Algeria’s 4.7 mtpa Skikda liquefaction plant on April 8, port data reveals.

Portugal mostly imports liquefied natural gas from Nigeria, Algeria and Qatar.

Sines LNG terminal has a nominal send out capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
