Portugal’s Sines awaits LNG cargo

REN’s Sines LNG terminal in Portugal is expected to receive a cargo of the chilled gas on August 7.

The 75,500 cbm Cheikh Bouamama, owned by Hyproc Shipping, is carrying the cargo from Algeria’s Skikda LNG export plant, port data reveals.

The LNG terminal in Sines lies on Portugal’s Atlantic coast in the industrial area of Sines port, about 120 Km to the south of Lisbon.

It has a nominal send out capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
