Paul Douglas has been promoted to the role of VP operations with Bruce Stuart joining Proserv as VP sales and business development for Europe and West Africa (EWA) from FMC Technologies.

Paul takes overall responsibility for two of Proserv’s key Aberdeenshire facilities including its Birchmoss test and assembly hub, which provides subsea, drilling and production services, and its Kintore-based marine technology centre.

Paul joined Proserv in 2011 as VP commercial before going on to become general manager of its Kintore facility. He has extensive expertise in leadership, business development and commercial management working with companies such as GE Oil & Gas, VetcoGray, BP and Fugro.

With a career spanning more than 30 years in the oil & gas industry, Bruce has built up an enviable track record in strategy and leadership particularly in Europe, West Africa and North America. Formerly UK & Canada sales and marketing manager at FMC Technologies, Bruce has also worked in senior sales roles within Cameron and Dril-Quip.

Brian Kinsey, Proserv’s region president for EWA, said: “Strengthening our team at a senior level comes at an exciting time in the evolution of our company. Through continuous investment in our people, technologies and facilities, we have significantly enhanced our capabilities and reinforced our suite of value-added services to support client projects globally.

“Paul has an excellent track record with more than 16 years of international commercial experience in the industry and, indeed, with Proserv therefore he is well placed to lead the continued growth of two of our Aberdeenshire operations. Bruce also brings an impressive wealth of experience and has a dual role in that he will oversee the sales team for the region and support the continued expansion of our subsea production solutions offering globally.”

Earlier this year, Proserv bolstered its test, manufacturing and service capabilities in the region with the acquisition of KRG Industries, based in Coatbridge and Stockton-on-Tees. The deal was a perfect strategic fit for Proserv as it further enhanced the company’s position as a leader in the new-build and after-market servicing of specialist subsea equipment to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), drilling contractors and independent oil companies.

Proserv, which has a global talent pool of more than 2,200 people and operates through 31 operating centres based in 11 countries, has a 40-year track record in delivering life-of-field solutions.

Proserv’s other Aberdeenshire facilities also include its global corporate headquarters in Westhill and the company’s sampling manufacturing centre in Tullos.
