Pryme buys Scotland-based subsea provider

Pryme Group, a provider of integrated manufacturing solutions to a range of industries, has acquired Sengs Subsea Engineering Solutions (SengS).

SengS is an independent engineering company founded in 2012 by Murray Kerr in Ellon, Scotland.

The company provides engineering design, consultancy, IRM project support, testing & flushing, subsea tooling, and repair and refurbishment of subsea and topside applications.

According to an article written by Scottish Business News Network (SBNN), the acquisition of SengS enhances Pryme by bringing engineering design, specialist testing, assembly services, and complementary customers to the group.

The business news website also said that the company’s founder Kerr will remain in his role as a managing director and become a shareholder in the Pryme Group.

Lawrence Ross, Chairman of Pryme Group, said: “SengS is responsive, cost competitive and creative. Exactly what the oil and gas industry needs as it continues to manage the cost curve downwards. We look forward to working with Murray and his team as part of Pryme Group.”
