PSA Gets New Director General (Norway)

The King in Council appointed Anne Næss Myhrvold on Friday 8 March to serve as director general of the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) for a fixed term of six years.

Myhrvold was born in 1966, and has worked for BP Norge since 2002. She has been a member of this company’s top management as head of health, safety and the environment (HSE) since 2009.

With an MSc in microbiology, her earlier posts include working in the safety area at the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).

Myhrvold will take over as director general of the PSA from 1 May 2013.
