PSA Inspects CoPSAS' Electrical Installations (Norway)

During the period 25 – 26 September 2012, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) conducted an audit of ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS’ (CoPSAS) follow-up of electrical installations and personnel responsible for such installations.

The objective of the audit was to verify compliance with regulatory provisions and the audit particularly targeted those parts of the company’s management system that cover personnel responsible for electrical installations, their role, responsibilities and tasks during engineering, operations, modifications and maintenance of electrical installations.

The audit identified nonconformities in connection with:  the scheme involving personnel responsible for electrical installations;  qualifications and expertise of electrical personnel;  nonconformance procedures for development projects

Furthermore, one improvement item was identified relating to notification and reporting of hazard and accident situations to the PSA.
