PSA probes Wintershall’s Brage (Norway)

PSA probes Wintershall's Brage (Norway)The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has carried out an audit of Wintershall Norge AS (WINO) within the disciplines of cranes and lifting operations and the management of maintenance on the Brage installation, in the North Sea.

According to the PSA, the objective of the audit was to verify regulatory compliance in respect of cranes and lifting operations and maintenance management.

Wintershall is the operator on the Brage oil field located in the northern North Sea approximately 13 kilometres east of Oseberg. Brage has been developed using a fixed, integrated production, drilling and accommodation platform.

The audit identified non-conformities in connection with materials handling, maintenance, competence, and documentation.

Furthermore, improvement points were identified in connection with scaffolding and handling of bulk hoses and loads in respect of supply vessels.
