PTTEP to Decide on Cash Maple FLNG Partner by End of This Year

PTTEP of Thailand plans to decide on a strategic partner for a FLNG project off Australia by the end of 2013, Reuters reported, citing PTTEP’s President and CEO Tevin Vongvanich as saying.

The company earlier said that it will decide by the middle of 2013 on a partner to commercialise its assets at its Cash Maple gas fields in the Timor Sea off northern Western Australia.

A decision on the strategic partnet will be delayed because there are several investors showing interest in the project and the company needs more time to consider the technology carefully,” Vongvanich stressed.
