Qatar Ships LNG Cargo to Kuwait

Qatar, the world’s largest LNG producer, shipped an LNG cargo from the Ras Laffan Port to Kuwait on Wednesday, according to shipping data.

The cargo is being carried by the 126,400 cubic-meter LNG Virgo, and it is due to arrive at the Mina Al-Ahmadi LNG terminal on September 13.

Excelerate Energy designed and constructed the Mina Al-Ahmadi GasPort (MAAGP). Located approximately 20 miles south of Kuwait City, MAAGP was Kuwait’s first LNG import terminal.

It delivers regasified LNG at a baseload rate of up to 500 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) through high-pressure gas arm.
