Qatar Ships LNG Cargo to Spain

Qatar, the world’s largest LNG producer, shipped an LNG cargo from the Ras Laffan Port to Spain on Wednesday, according to shipping data.

The cargo is being carried by the 138,119 cubic-meter Catalunya Spirit, and it is due to arrive at the Huelva LNG terminal on September 22.

Huelva is a regasification terminal based in mouth of the rivers Tinto and Odiel, Huelva, Spain and operated by Enagás.

The plant, that at the beginning had a 60,000 m3 tank, now has five tanks, with a storage capacity of 619,500 m3.

With the gradual increase in LNG storage capacity there has also been an increase in its natural gas emission capacity, reaching 1,350,000 m3(n)/h.
