Qatargas, the world’s largest LNG producer signed a medium-term deal to deliver liquefied natural gas to Turkey’s BOTAŞ Petroleum Pipeline Corporation.

Under the agreement, Qatargas will deliver 1.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas per year over a three-year period.

Speaking of the agreement, Khalid Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Qatargas CEO, said the deal with BOTAŞ has evolved from supplying spot cargoes to the current medium-term deal.

The contract comes into effect on October 1, 2017, Qatargas informed in a statement.

The LNG will be delivered onboard Q-Flex vessels to either the Egegaz LNG terminal, the Marmara LNG terminal, or to the Etki LNG terminal, Qatargas said.
