Qatargas shuts down Train 4 for maintenance

Qatargas has recently shut its fourth liquefaction train for scheduled maintenance.

According to sources, train 4 was shut down at the end of February, reports Reuters. Train 4 shutdown could lead to reduced supplies to the UK, Europe and Asia as chilled gas from Train 4 was supplied to these regions.

The maintenance is expected to be completed by the end of March with March 25 being the likely date.

Train 4 with the capacity of 7.8 mtpa is part of the Qatargas II project that entered into production in April 2009 and that also includes train 5.
