Qatari LNG cargo bound for South Hook

The UK’s South Hook LNG terminal is scheduled to receive its sixth cargo of chilled gas for the month of February.

The 266,000 cbm Q-Max LNG carrier Al Mafyar departed from Qatar’s Ras Laffan port and is expected at the import terminal located on the shore of Milford Haven waterway on February 22.

South Hook, one of Europe’s largest LNG import terminals, has been quite busy in the beginning of 2016.

According to the latest data by National Grid, gas supply from the South Hook terminal was around 43 mcm/day on Monday morning.

South Hook is owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total. The terminal is able to process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG per year.
