Ramdane Abane LNG carrier suffers engine failure in Turkey

The 1981-built Ramdane Abane LNG carrier suffered an engine failure in the Canakkale Straight on Monday at 9:05 in the morning, according to the local media reports. 

Turkish Directorate General of Coastal Safety dispatched three tugboats to help the vessel to port safety after receiving distress calls from the vessel.

It is understood that after fixing the issue, the vessel carrying over 55,ooo tons of LNG reached its destination in Marmara sea.
