Reduced Price for Russian Gas Unlocks New Opportunities for Ukrainian Economy

The arrangements achieved by the Presidents of Ukraine and the Russian Federation concerning reduction of a price for the Russian gas for Ukraine open new opportunities of the economic development,  the Premier of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during a session of the government on Wednesday.

According to him, the agreement of the presidents envisages setting an economically grounded gas price for Ukraine from January 1 and by the end of validity of the contract.

“It opens the way for Ukrainian industry, power economy, housing and communal services to resume the economic growth and use the obtained resources for upgrade,” Mykola Azarov stated.
