Repair Work on MV ‘Blue Puttees’ Completed

Repair work to the MV Blue Puttees was successfully completed over the weekend and the vessel departed Halifax returning to North Sydney later that day. It is anticipated that the vessel will resume service between North Sydney and Port aux Basques Tuesday evening (August 20).

With the return of the MV Blue Puttees, the MV Atlantic Vision will resume its Argentia sailing schedule, with the first departure being Wednesday’s (August 21) sailing from North Sydney to Argentia.

Argentia customers whose original bookings were re-routed through Port aux Basques are being contacted and provided the option of re-booking to the Argentia service. Previously impacted customers who choose to take the Argentia service will see no increase in their fare and will continue to pay the Port aux Basques-North Sydney rate.
