Report: Drilling finished in Phase 19 of South Pars gas field

Drilling operations in Phase 19 of the massive South Pars gas field, located in the Persian Gulf, have been completed. 

The development of the Phase 19 of South Pars Gas Field was done by Petropars, a developer of exploration, exploitation and production in upstream projects.

According to petro energy information network, Shana, the drilling manager of Petropars, Mahmoud Javadian, said that 15 wells have been drilled in this phase of the giant gas reservoir shared by Iran and Qatar.

Javadian reportedly said a total of 21 wells in Phase 19 would produce 2 bcf of gas.

In addition, Shana reported that phase 19 of South Pars is currently 85% complete and two refining trains of this phase are to be launched this year.

Phase 19 is under development for the production of 56 mcm/d of sour gas to be transformed into 50 mcm/d of sweet gas, 550 tons a day of ethane, 2,000 tons a day of propane, 1,200 tons a day of butane, 80,000 b/d of gas condensate and 400 tons a day of sulfur.
