RIL, BP May Build Three LNG Terminals in India

Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) and BP Plc, may construct three LNG plants in India, the Financial Chronicle reported.

Dhamra, Mangalore, Kakinada and Paradip are being considered as possible locations for the liquefied natural gas plants.

The terminals will have a capacity of 5 million metric tons per annum, the Financial Chronicle said.

Last Week, BP and RIL announced the incorporation of India Gas Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a 50:50 joint venture company which will focus on global sourcing and marketing of natural gas in India.
