Rolls-Royce Appoints New Non-Executive Director

Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, announced that Jasmin Staiblin will join the Board as a non-executive Director. Jasmin is Chief Executive of ABB Switzerland, a subsidiary of the ABB Group. The ABB Group is one of the largest engineering companies in the world with 135,000 employees and operations in more than 100 countries.

The Chairman of Rolls-Royce, Sir Simon Robertson, said: “I am delighted to welcome Jasmin Staiblin onto the Board. Jasmin combines a strong background in advanced engineering and deep technical knowledge with extensive international business experience. I am very much looking forward to working with her.

Jasmin Staiblin, a German national, graduated in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Karlsruhe University and from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm before joining ABB in 1997. Since then she has held a number of senior positions including her current role where she is responsible for revenues of CHF 3.6bn (£2.4bn). She has lived and worked in Switzerland, Sweden and Australia. She is a non-executive Director of Georg Fischer AG a leading Swiss industrial Group and of ETH Domain, a collective of Swiss universities and research institutions.

George Fisher AG is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange. There are no other details to disclose under paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules in relation to Jasmin Staiblin.
