ROV Demand to Increase in 2015

According to oilprice.com, there will be an increase in demand for remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) through 2015.

Given that the offshore deep-sea oil drilling industry is developing, it needs the ROV capabilities for various inspections.

There are numerous varieties of ROVs, they provide video and data signals, and the more advanced ones employ hydraulics, sonars, magnetometers and other equipment used for water sampling.

ROVs are most used in the offshore oil and gas industry because of their capability to conduct underwater operations, such as equipment assembling under water or performing maintenance on that equipment.

Oceaneering currently has the largest Work Class ROV.

Oceaneering is a global oilfield provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore oil and gas industry, with a focus on deepwater applications.
