Caspian Energy Completes Offshore Fixed Platform for Dragon Oil

A ceremony was held at the site of Astrakhan Shipbuilding Production Association due to the completion of fabrication of the fixed platform for Zhdanov oil field being under development in the shelf area of Turkmenistan in the Caspian Sea.

Astrakhan Governor Alexander Zhilkin, representatives of the Client, executive and operating staff of the project took part in the ceremony.

The structure of the offshore fixed platform Zhdanov includes the well-head and accommodation platforms connected by the bridge. Each platform has got jackets and topsides to arrange the corresponding processing facilities on them. The project contract price is more than 80 million US dollars.

Caspian Energy Completes Offshore Fixed Platform for Dragon Oil

 The crane vessel of approx. 100 tons capacity, intended  to be operated in the shelf area of Turkmenistan in the Caspian Sea is under construction at the site of Astrakhan Shipbuilding Production Association now for Dragon Oil Turkmenistan Ltd.

The general contractor is Caspian Energy Projects, while the offshore installation is made by Crane Marine Contractor, LLC. Project commissioning is planned for spring 2013.

The main dimensions of the well-head platform:

  • Jacket – 40 х 20 х 32,5 м., weight – 1350 tons.
  • Topside – 65 х45 х 6,7 м., weight – 1350 tons.

The main dimensions of the accommodation platform:

  • Jacket – 20 х 20 х 32,5 м., weight 375 tons.
  • Topside – 35 х 25 х 6,7 м., weight 350 tons.
