Russia - Nevsky Shipyard Delivers New Dry-Cargo Vessel

Nevsky Shipyard has delivered self-propelled dry-cargo vessel of project RSD49 named NEVA-LEADER 1 (deadweight 7150 tons) to North-Western Shipping Company, JSC.

Marine Engineering Bureau-Design-SPb, JSC. is responsible for the design of the vessel.

Vessels of the series can be operated for transportation of general and bulk cargoes including grain, timber, large-dimension and hazardous cargoes of classes 1, 1.4S, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, 9 of IMDG Code and the Appendix B of the BC Code in the Caspian Sea as well as in the Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea, Baltic Sea, White Sea, North Sea including routes around Europe and on the Irish Sea in winter.

The feature of RSD49 project vessel is the existence of a big middle hold in fifty two meters long, which makes it possible to transport “design” oversize cargoes in one way voyage Europe-Caspian Sea.
